Top East Africa Travel Destinations
East Africa is like a box of nature’s best surprises, with each country offering its own magic. At Zawadi Experiences, we specialize in East Africa Tours that focus on four travel destinations: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda,

Imagine Tanzania where the endless plains of the Serengeti come alive with the thundering hooves of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Right nearby, Mount Kilimanjaro calls to those who love to hike, standing tall as Africa’s highest peak.
Then there’s Uganda and Rwanda, secret gardens where you can trek through lush forests to meet eyes with gorillas and chimpanzees. These moments feel like stepping back in time, sharing a quiet greeting with some of the earth’s oldest residents.
Kenya rounds out this group with its wide-open savannas. It’s a dream spot for anyone who wants to see the Big Five: elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffaloes in their natural hustle.
Beyond the animals, East Africa’s coasts are lined with beaches where the sands are as white as the clouds and waters invite you to explore beneath the waves.
This region isn’t just wild—it’s also rich in history. It’s where the Swahili language began and where scientists have unearthed ancient human fossils. No matter your interest—be it the animals, the history, or the stunning views—East Africa holds a story for everyone, ready to make lasting memories.

Yes, it’s very safe to visit Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda. Like any trip, just stick with your group and guide, especially in towns.
Your hotel or resort is super safe, and while on safari, you’re in protected areas so there’s nothing to worry about.
Just remember to dress right for public beaches and follow the tips we give you before your trip.
The weather is usually very nice. From June to October, during the main tourist season, it’s cool enough without needing air conditioning—between 18°C and 25°C.
Even in the hotter months, it doesn’t usually go above 28°C. Safari mornings can be a bit chilly, so bringing a warm jacket is a good idea.
Beach areas like Zanzibar and Mombasa are a bit warmer and humid from December to March, but still comfortable.
Any time is a great time to see animals here, but if you want to catch the Great Migration, come between July and October.
Other times of the year are also good for seeing lots of wildlife and enjoying the green, lush scenery during the rainy seasons in April and May.
The beaches are lovely year-round, and the best months for hiking, like climbing Kilimanjaro, are from June to March.
Outside wildlife parks, your phone should work just fine with 3G/4G speeds in most places. In some parks like Kenya’s Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti, the internet might be spotty but calls usually go through.
Getting a SIM card is easy in Kenya—you just need your passport. Tanzania’s process is a bit more complicated, but we can help with WiFi devices if needed. Most hotels have WiFi, mostly in public areas, good enough for checking emails and messages.
