Hear inspiring stories of forgiveness, witness local crafts like basket weaving, learn about traditional banana beer brewing, and enjoy a joyful cultural dance performance. After this meaningful visit, set off on a scenic drive north to Ruhengeri, also known as Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park and your base for gorilla trekking. Along the way, admire Rwanda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and the breathtaking Virunga Volcanoes in the distance. Once you find the gorillas, spend up to an hour quietly observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat — a truly magical encounter that leaves a lasting imprint on your heart. Return to your lodge for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon reflecting on the day’s wonder.

On your final day, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, an inspiring conservation centre dedicated to protecting mountain gorillas and educating visitors.
