There are two options to climb Kilimanjaro at BestDay Safaris. The first option is to climb via the 5-day Marangu Route. It is considered to be difficult as there is not much time to acclimatize. The next option is the 6-Day Marangu Route, which is regarded as a better choice from the point of view of acclimatization.
The Marangu Route is 82 km (50 miles) in length. The lowest number of days you would require to Climb Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route is 5 days. It is best advised to complete the trek over 6 days.
The Marangu Route travels through the rainforests, the heather zone, the alpine areas, and the glacial zone. The Marangu Trek is terrific, and it is the only route that allows you to ascend and descend through the same path.
From July to September, it is considered the Best Time to climb Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route. The weather is excellent and you’re less likely to encounter any rain.
Do remember that Mount Kilimanjaro is close to the equator and can be climbed at any time of the year. If you want to avoid any month, then avoid April and May as they are considered wet months.
