When is the ideal time to go to Tanzania? It depends on what you want to see. The dry season runs from June to October. This is the best time to go on game drives and see the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti. In November and March, there are brief showers, less people, and greener landscapes, which are great for taking pictures and viewing birds. In the Ngorongoro Crater, January to February is calving season for wildebeest. This brings in predators and lots of commotion.
