Mikumi National Park offers a genuine African safari experience while saving you time. There are a lot of different kinds of animals in the park that are easy to spot. This is when Mikumi’s vegetation is thin, and animals gather around waterholes. It makes it easy to spot them together in one place during a game drive. Wildlife viewing becomes more prominent during September and October. This is when large herds of animals come to drink from the last remaining sources of water. If you’re arriving in Mikumi for birding safaris, consider visiting between November and February.

It is easier to view wildlife as the vegetation thins out and animals congregate around water sources. Humidity is lower with plentiful sunshine and little rainfall.
