Wild Wonders Across Serengeti Plains

You may have dreamed about visiting Africa before, and the Serengeti was most likely the place you would want to see. Because the Serengeti is the site of the Great Migration, it has been the subject of numerous documentaries and films featuring animals. It may be one of the last truly amazing natural sights on Earth.  Serengeti National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its diverse wildlife. It covers an area of about 15,000 square kilometers and is home to over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and about 500 different bird species.

Join us on a Tanzania Safari tour and see the endless Serengeti plains, which are dotted with trees and kopjes from which noble lions watch over their kingdom. Be amazed by the Great Migration or try to find a leopard in a riverine forest. Or, take a hot air balloon tour at sunrise to see everything from above. There are places to stay in every price range, and the sound of lions roaring at night is free.

When To Go

Best time to go to the Serengeti National Park

Viewing wild animals in the Serengeti National Park is a pleasure for wildlife lovers and nature enthusiasts. Most tourists wish to see the Great Migration and the predator action that goes with it. The Best Time to See the Migration is from July to October. This is the dry season, and in June and July, the herds will face their biggest challenge: crossing the Mara River. If you are keen on seeing the predators in action, go in January or February, when there is a hiatus in the annual rains and the wildebeest calve. Note that traveling during peak seasons naturally comes with higher costs, and there's a certain beauty to the country during or just after the rains.

Dry Season

June to October

Watch the Great Wildebeest Migration in June and July in the western corridor. In August and September, you can watch the migration in the northern park.

Wet Season

November to May

From January to March, you can watch the calving season in the Serengeti. It is an excellent time to see the predator action and the migratory birds.

Wildlife

Animals & Birds of Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is one of the greatest sites to witness African animals in their natural habitat. The Great Migration is when huge groups of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles travel over the vast plains. Every safari is more exciting since lions, cheetahs, and hyenas accompany the herds. You may regularly see cheetahs sprinting over the grasslands, and you can sometimes find leopards sleeping in trees along the Seronera River. There are also more than 500 types of birds that live in the Serengeti. The sky and lakes are constantly full of life, with brilliant lilac-breasted rollers, giant ostriches, and flocks of flamingos. The Serengeti is full of surprises since every game drive you do here delivers something fresh and mind-boggling.

Things to do

Unforgettable Adventures

Game drives are the highlight of any Safari in Serengeti, as they allow you to observe animals in their natural habitat. You may choose between morning, afternoon, or all-day drives with a picnic lunch in the wilderness. Take a hot air balloon ride over the plains in silence and then have a champagne brunch when you arrive. Some facilities also plan night drives and walking safaris, which make the experience even more exciting. Every activity here lets you get up close and personal with the park's animals and scenery.
